About my Groups

Group running sessions take place on weekday evenings, Monday to Thursday, plus an extra session on a Friday morning.
Each workout lasts for 50 minutes and includes a warm up jog and cooldown stretching. The workouts vary from week to week as we focus on all aspects of running fitness, and the sessions are carefully planned in loops to give plenty of options for all abilities, and in a way in which no one gets left behind.
My aim is to slot each individual into groups that are ideal for their current ability, which is something we will chat about before your first session, so that no one feels overwhelmed by a group that is maybe too fast for them at this current moment in time. I also aim to provide groups that are challenging to the individual, so that they can get the most out of their training and running.
Not only do you get a group session, but you also get the opportunity to tap into my knowledge and experience as a fitness professional for help and advice, and this doesn’t just apply to when you are at one of my sessions, you can message me at anytime with questions etc.
With my groups, I have created a pathway for progression, where many of my members, having started out at one of my Beginners groups, have progressed to a group that is more aligned with the improvements that they have made, in order to take their running to the next level.
During the spring and summer, evening groups take place at Callendar Park* in Falkirk, offering a mix of path, trail and grass running. In autumn and winter, we switch to Helix Park in Falkirk – parking at Falkirk Stadium - for safe and well-lit running sessions on tarmac paths, either at the Helix or the path that surrounds Falkirk Stadium.
*Friday morning sessions are held at Callendar Park all year round.
