Sports Specific Nutrition

"Good nutrition won't make an average athlete elite, but poor nutrition can make an elite athlete average"

This service helps sports participants improve performance and speed up recovery, maximising their potential with proper nutrition, making sure that they are fully fuelled and ready for each training session as well as game day.

For this I will devise a nutritional and hydration strategy/plan to ensure individuals are taking in enough calories to provide the energy they need to sustain training and game time, promoting adequate recovery, as well as muscle repair.

The plan will include a periodised approach, carefully calculating how many calories an individual needs for training, match play (before and during), recovery (post-match) and rest days. I work out the calorie needs in terms of carbohydrates, fat, protein and hydration for the individual for each situation.

I currently work with participants of the following sports but my nutrition expertise can be applied to most sports:

• Football
• Rugby
• Hockey
• Tennis
